Bernard Arms

The Bernard Arms was situated on Risborough Road, next to the church and had been in existence since the 1930s. Due to its proximity to the Prime Minister's country residence Chequers, several world leaders enjoyed a drink there over the years, including Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Boris Yeltsin and John Howard. The pub closed its doors at the end of 2011.
