This pub reopened in September 2010 after
refurbishment, under new management. |

My parents-in-law Paddy and Babara Malone used
to run the pub in the 1980s. They very much revived the fortunes of the pub
with the combination of great home-cooked food and well-kept beer. It was
quite a family affair, with all their 4 children working there at one time
or another. I also worked regularly in the bar over the decade, and played
for the darts team. Paddy and Barbara retired and moved to Hampshire, and
sadly both have now passed away. |
