The Six Bells was situated on Fox Hill Road. This grade-II listed pub was present in 1801 and closed in 1962. It is now used as a private dwelling.
Listed building details:
House, formerly an inn. C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber framed and roughcast rendered. Brick plinth. C20 plain tiled half hipped roof. Red brick rectangular planned ridge stack with C19 gault brick upper courses and tall red brick gable end stack to north. Two storeys with single storey kitchen range to north and rear outshut. Entrance to right of centre of main range with C20 open gabled porch. Four ground floor and two first floor casement windows. The building was formerly The Six Bells public house and was recorded in 1801 (VCH).
