Burlington Arms

 


The Burlington Arms was situated on Burlington Street. In 1861 the Landlord was Joseph Broadhead. He was twice charged with running a disorderly beer house and allowing drunkenness. Fined £2 in 1861 and £5 for a second offence 1862. The pub was known by the police to be frequented by criminals and prostitutes. In 1874 was renamed the Excursion Inn.
