My grandfather, Samuel
Gregory was born at the Cock Inn in 1875, his father Benjamin was the
landlord. I have fond memories of Sunday trips out from Derby with my
parents to enjoy a glass of lemonade and a packet of crisps.

The community bellringers and local sports clubs used to meet here. The
current owners started lopping bits off for reasons I do not understand.
Can we expect our pub back or is it lost by neglect ? |
