The Swan Inn was situated at 139 High Street. |

No's 137 and 139 are grade-II listed.
No 139 is described by the Town Council as a 16th century inn, one of three
old coaching inns which stand side by side in the centre of the town, each
with a way through to a yard behind. The Swan is now a meeting place and
sheltered accommodation for young people. |

C16, with ground floor front wall
built out in C18. Old tiled roof with oversailing double gable. Flat headed
doorcase with pilasters, decorated frieze. 3 light sash window on either
side. 1st floor 2 modern mullioned and transomed oriel windows. |
