The Terminus Hotel was situated on Stuart Road. This pub opened in 1899 and closed in 1988. It has now been demolished.

The Terminus Hotel was so named as it stood opposite the Gravesend West Station at the bottom of Stuart Rd.  It was the end of the London Victoria to Gravesend line which led on to a pier which, until 1939, connected to the Batavier Line which ran a daily service to Rotterdam. In the 1960s a famous jazz club inhabited the upstairs clubroom.  George Chisholm, the well known trombonist and TV comedian (Black & White Minstrel Show) is shown below pushing over a collection of pennies into a blanket for the Kent Blind Association.
