The King William IV was situated at 4 High Street This grade-II listed pub is now used as a children's day centre. The town house on the left of the above photo was built on the car park.
 

 
Listed building details:
The left part in a timber-framed building refronted. The rest is C18. Two storeys and attics red brick and grey headers. Steeply pitched hipped tiled roof with 2 gabled dormers. Four sash windows with glazing bars intact, a small bay on ground floor and 2 door cases with wide flat hoods over.
