The Bishop Blaize was situated on the corner of Mansion
Street and Lower Bond Street. It was one of Hinckley's oldest pubs, probably
seventeenth century. By the early twentieth century, the building housed a
corner shop run by a Mrs Yates, selling sweets and tobacco. The building was
demolished in 1931 as part of a road-widening scheme. |
