Roger Kelsall 1954-c.1957 My father Fred was manager here for this short time,it was a beer sales only pub,no wines or spirits. Babycham being the drink for ladies in the smoke room. It was quite a rough place, I was only 8 at the time, but I can remember my dad saying. What have I done bringing you and your mum here?
Bill & Mary West 1971-1973 We were the last licensees to run the Alderman Inn as tenants for Ansells Brewery, the pub was trading very well (as most pubs in this era) when we were informed by the brewery that they were selling the pub, which was to be demolished to make space to build a multi-storey car park, sadly after the pub had closed the deal collapse and the brewery wanted to reopen it, but unfortunately it got vandalised and would cost much too repair.
David Geary 1969 onwards Ansells drayman.
