The Geroge & Dragon was situated at 2 Freehold Street. I was born in the George and Dragon in 1950 and lived there until 1955. My father was the tenant. It was closed and demolished some time after that – presumably when the area was ‘redeveloped’ in the 1960s. t was a Victorian street corner boozer.
