The Old Windmill was situated on North Street. This pub closed in 1965 to be merged with the neighbouring Wake House, the birthplace of Frederick Worth. It is now used as a community / arts centre. It was present by 1835 when the publican was Mary Banks.

This was a Soames Brewery pub that was sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949.
