Graham Clift 1969 The pub was still open in May 1969 as my wife and I held our wedding reception there. The landlord at that time was our brother in law and his wife, Brian and Margaret Smith. They lived directly opposite the village church for many years, Sadly both have passed away. Brian was your typical village landlord who enjoyed long walks and breeding pheasants for one of the local landowners.
