Black Goats, Lincoln, Lincolnshire

The Black Goats was situated at 303 High Street. Present by 1828, the name was changed in the 1840s from Three Goats, derived from the three gowts, or drains, which drained the Swan Pool, a large lake to the west of Lincoln. The pub was situated at High Bridge, on the bank of the largest of these drains.

Publican in 1818, was John Wright, in 1878 was Joseph Salmon.
