Ancient Briton

The Ancient Briton was situated at 44a Glaucous Street. This pub was built in 1855 when Glaucous Street was first developed.  By the twentieth century it was a Charrington’s Brewery pub.  It closed in 2005 and was demolished in 2007, with flats being built on the site (see photo below).
