The Princess Of Wales was situated at 121 Abbey Road. Since demolished, it has been replaced with '60s or '70s estate housing, at ground level there is a pub going by both the names of The Cricketers (fascia) and Lillie Langtry (pub sign) simultaneously.
As a student I lived in 28 Priory Terrace from September 1964 to July 1967. We, and others from the flats nearby, used the Princess of Wales as our local. Many happy hours were spent there. Pubs come and Pubs go but this one has special memories for me.
