Drank here when I served in the Household Cavalry. Came
across it as it was next to the Fire Brigade Headquarters and some of
the Senior Officers would drink in there when doing an overnight stay.
Remember ACO Arthur Nicholls the most and have a signed copy of his
book. Landlord at the time was Vernon Gwyer with his wife Sian. Met my
first proper girl friend there. |
