The Wickwood Tavern was situated at 58 Flaxman Road. This pub is now used as flats. |

I was sad to see the Wickwood Tavern
has been made into flats. My mother and father were the landlords there in
the early 1950's. They were Dot and Toby and before them my mothers father
used to run it his name was Jack Wraight. I was only a toddler at the time,
but I do remember the fish tanks they had around the bar. We used to have
about four tanks upstairs that were the babies etc. I am sure I remember
that the snooker/pool table was upstairs. |
