The Princess Royal was situated at 47 Hereford
Road. This pub was owned by Watney, Combe and Reid and is now used as a
restaurant/bar. |

Reopened after lockdown in March 2022
with original name Princess Royal. Refurbishment during the prior closure
included some restoration of original features, including the exposure of
the pub name mosaic in the entrance porch. The present incarnation, as part
of the small Cubitt House chain of London pubs. |

The pub was a Trust House. My father was a temporary
landlord. I was a 4year old at the time. In January 1947 we moved to
live with Mrs Pink also in Bayswater. |
