The Bird In Hand was situated at 19
Norfolk Street. This pub was present by
1803 when the publican was John Langley, an ex-Royal Marine who served on
HMS Discovery under Captain George Vancouver. The pub was damaged during a
WWII air raid and closed in 1983. It has now been demolished. |
