Lowmoor Inn

The Lowmoor Inn was built by the Home Brewery Company on the site of a disused brickworks and opened sometime between 1950 and 1955. The license was transferred from the Brick & Tile, Sutton-in-Ashfield when it was closed.
In 1998 the Lowmoor Inn was open and trading but by 2009 the pub was for sale or to let as a "Community Pub". By 2011, it was boarded up. On 30th December 2013, the property was described as a "derelict pub" when fire damaged the building further.
The property remained in a derelict and fire-damaged state until November 2016 when the building and site were sold to Farmfoods. By April 2017, what was left of the pub was demolished and the site cleared, and a year later building work was underway on the new retail unit that opened in 2019
