The Old Eclipse was situated at 28
Westgate. In 1925 when the landlord was William ‘Bill’ Boneham who took over
from his father in about 1924. Bill Boneham served in the 1/4th Battalion
Seaforth Highlanders in 1914/1918. He was badly wounded in 1915, but
returned to France as a Sergeant in 1917/1918. |
