The John Barleycorn was situated on Nuthall Road, Broxstowe. This pub closed in 2007 and was demolished in 2011. Known as The Barleycorn at time of closure.

Jane Paling	1980/1997	Was a local regular patron to begin with back in the 80's from a teen to my 30's Norma and Frank were the owners. The pub changed hands later on and when Jane & Darren owned it I worked for them as a barmaid for a few months. 1997 had to leave as news came of them leaving sadly to further their career.
