This pub closed in 2003. Planning permission has been granted for conversion to flats. |

Owned in the 1940s, and maybe early 1950s,
possibly also the 1930s by Ben Winter and his wife Irene. There was a
skittle alley there, and I believe that it was a stop on a stage coach route
at one time, where they used to change horses. |
