The Major From Glengarry was situated at 10-14 Upper Church Road. This pub is now used as a Smokehouse BBQ restaurant
In the early 80's, my mates & me used to drive from Bristol a few weekends a year & get B&B for 2 nights around the corner from The Major From Glengarry in Weston super Mare so we could drink the fantastic Exmoor Ale there and not worry about driving. It was a great little pub, also did decent food including Sunday dinner. When I then met future (first) wife, suggested romantic weekends in W-S-M. Same B&B, same boozer !
