The Galleon

The Galleon was located on Bridge Road at the Chertsey side of the bridge on the south side of the road.  This closed in the early 1990s and has since been demolished to be used for the car park of the Bridge Hotel.

I remember going to it many times in the 70's. Was a trendy watering hole mainly people then in their 20's. The cricket opposite was still trading and there was a night club across the other side.
Couple of times saw PeterMellor and John Lacey goalkeeper and centre half for Fulham drinking in there.
