The Governors House was situated on Cape Road. This building was originally the governors house for Warwick Prison.

Annie 1960/1975 My mother and father used to frequent this pub as we used to live down lower cape they used to send me to the off sales round the back and ask the landlord to fill bottles with beer to take home for my parents, I think the landlord was named Albert, my mother and father were Joe and Audrey White.
Anthony Buckingham 1950s/1960s My mother and father knew your mother and father very well, Jennifer and Brian Buckingham. My mother's mum and dad ran the pub, Elsie and Albert Spraggett.
