The Duke Of Cumberland was situated in Priory Street, closing in 2008/2009.

I was landlord of the Duke from 1977-79. My first (and last) pub. I used my own money to renovate the place. Ushers brewery supplied the beer etc. Doomed to fail as too many pubs in the area and mot a wealthy town. Used to have chinese food delivered from Pacs I think he is still there. Left the pub and moved to the USA

When I attended Bath Academy of Art 1969 to 1971 which was located in Corsham, The Duke of Cumberland was then a small pub which sold rough cider & beer straight from casks on stands.
