The Kings Head was situated at 28 High Street. Opened in the 1770's, it closed in 1999 and is now used as a private house.

My Dads Grandparents ran this pub for a while in about the 1930s. If there was a festival or Fayre in the town he would make pocket money by offering to store people’s bicycles in the outbuildings if they had travelled in from an outlying village.
Margaret Woodward (April 2022)
