Peter Tong 1980s/early 1990s Eric and Dorothy Armstrong ran the pub. An absolutely lovely couple. I did the quiz on a Sunday evening for many years. Mary and Jeff (organ and drums) were on a Saturday night and filled the lounge! Great times and great staff.
Barbara Marr late 1960s/early 1970s Worked here for George can't remember his surname, had our wedding reception here May 73 when Seamus n Irene ran it, had some super nights here if you weren't in for 7;,on a Sat night you struggled to get a seat, Bert in the organ, Agnes behind bar
Eric Manklow 1967/1968 I was a student and lived over the pub. I played the organ at weekends for a sing along. The lounge used to get packed. Sometimes “John” played the drums. George was the landlord and Anthony was his young son. Linda was the barmaid who I dated a couple of times. I would love to know if any of these people or customers are still around or know where these people are now.
