The photo below is actually a screen capture from the 1975 film All Creatures Great and Small with Anthony Hopkins and Simon Ward. It was set in 1937 and the photo depicts a market scene in the fictitious town of Darrowby. In the background is a pub The Golden Lion which with a bit of detective work I identified as Malton in North Yorkshire. The sign above the door I remember as being a standard Tetley pub sign from the 1970s that has long since been replaced. It was only on screen for a few seconds so blink and you'll miss it.
