The Lord Byron was situated on Bridge Street East. This pub opened in 1864 and closed in 1939. It was then used as a Seamans Mission, warehouse and finally a factory.

This pub has now reopened, 70 years after it closed.

Closed in 2019 following licence revocation due to drugs and crime issues.
