The Victory was situated on The Meadway. This was a former Brakspear pub which was demolished with flats built on the site.

Nick Wills	1990/2000	Customer. I went in this pub very often. All ways a good crowd. Tony was the landlord and Ady was his right hand man. Tony left for a pub in Oxford after the brewery refused to give him funds for a make over. The new landlady came in but it wasn't the same atmosphere as the regular crowd left when Tony left. I then drank in the jolly Brewers
