Clock House Inn

Rebuilding The Clock House, 2015

The Clock House Inn is a 16th Century thatched free-house which tragically burned out on Easter Monday 6th April 2015 while the landlord and family were at a fete in the village. They lost everything bar their lives and pets. It is planned to reopen; fundraising events are being held in pubs, clubs and village halls all around the area to help the family restart their lives and hopefully re-open at some stage. (The insurers apparently didn't pay out the full value leaving about £290K shortfall on current prices.
This pub has now been rebuilt and reopened as The Clock. The rebuild was supported by public subscription as the insurers considered the property under insured so wouldn't cover full costs.
