The Lord Clyde was situated at 233 Ash Road. This pub was used as a bar called Idols following closure and is now in residential use.

Sonia Dobson-Reed 1960s/1970s My Grandparents Lily and Percy (known as Jimmie James were publicans for the Lord Clyde, I remember visting them and they had a room like a dormitory for single gents who used to live there. I very briefly remember my great grandma sitting in the kitchen so I think she lived with them.
