The Blacksmiths Arms was situated at 66 Lennox Road North. This pub was demolished in the 1970s to make way for a Waitrose supermarket. Publican in the 1970s was Doris Masters.
Frequented the place between 1968 and 1971 as it was located about 100yds from our digs. On one of the beams Reg Smythe had drawn an Andy Capp-style cartoon of the Landlady and her husband.
