The Heart In Hand was situated on Bar End Road. This pub was present by 1849 when the publican was George Goodchild. It has now been demolished.

Name Dates Comments Deborah Zissier 2004 I was landlady for a while i was also a bed& breakfast pub mainly for contractors & sight seekers on weekend i loved it there. Peter Downes 1960s My grandparents were landlord and landlady of this family pub and holds many happy memories for me my late mother and father,it was a very popular pub at the time and I was in an 8 piece harmonica band there for several years,the name of my grandparents were mr and Mrs F Brunning,they ran this pub for 38 years and before that ran The willow tree pub for 12 years
