Rising Sun

Rising Sun fireplace, now in the hall of the Long Alley Almshouses

The Rising Sun was situated on Bath Street. Formerly known as the Unicorn, it became a temperance hotel in 1894, however soon closed and was demolished in 1900. The fireplace from this pub was rescued during demolition and installed five years later in the hall of the Long Alley Almshouses.
