The Anchor Inn was situated at 25 Cornmarket
Street. This pub was briefly known as The Queens
Arms in honour of the newly crowned Queen Victoria, then The Blue Anchor. It closed in 1901 and was demolished on closure
to make way for the Capital & Counties Bank building.
It was located behind the present day WH Smith store. |
