The White Horse was situated on Westlington Lane. This pub is now used as a Belgian restaurant. This site was used to film part of the 1948 horror film, Daughter Of Darkness, starring Siobhan McKenna, Anne Crawford, Maxwell Reed, Honor Blackman & Barry Morse.

Jean Hayes 1963 My parents, Walter and Phoebe Thornton ran this pub between 1963 - 1966. I only visited the pub once in 1963 as my husband at the time was in the RAF was posted to Cyprus for 3 years.
