The Morning Star was situated on
Totteridge Road. This pub took over its licence from the original
Morning Star. Built in the 1940s,
the pub stayed operational until the late 1990s. The side-room on the pub
served as a small gig / club venue called firstly Pontons and then Heroes &
Zeroes, well-known and frequented in the town. Towards the end of its
functional life, the pub changed name to The Skinners Arms. The building was
demolished in 1999 and new housing built on the site. |
