Barley Mow

The Barley Mow was situated at 25 Bridge Street;
the building is now occupied by Cafe Rouge. This grade-II listed pub
was present by 1752 when it was known as The Bunch Of Grapes and the
publican was Elizabeth Martin. It was already closed when
my great great grandfather bought it in the 1860s and turned it into Sebleys
Tea Rooms and Ham Shop. |
