Gordon Walker mid 1970s Originally i recall a 'spit and sawdust' pub, but after a few years it must have been re-furbished and was thriving. i became a regular around 1974 when Godfrey was 'mine host' and amongst others Cass and the two Marys were barstaff. i met some good people, Sam,Phil,Kevin,Rick n Vic,the lovely blonde and her American husband (she could read your aura ! )and of course the two teachers, Jane n Liz, happy days !. they say never go back,
