The Queens Head was situated at
1 Senhouse Street and is thought to have closed in the early 1970s. Dating
from the 18th century, it became The Maryport Maritime Museum in 1975 and is
now an art gallery. It retains a mosaic of the head of Queen Victoria with
the initials V.R. and appears in the 1955 painting "Senhouse Street" by LS
Lowry. |
