The Albert

The Albert was situated on Sheffield Road. This pub closed in 1938 and re-opened in 1958 as the Albert Social Club; however later demolished for council housing after being sold to Chesterfield Borough Council.
My Grandfather Herbert Cousins ran The Albert circa 1928 to 1933. He use to work down Glapwell Colliery Pit to enable him to buy beer to sell in the pub.
