The Snooty Fox was situated on Woodville Road. The pub was originally opened by Marston's brewery in 1954 as a prefabricated, single-storey structure known as The Dominoes Inn, built specifically to serve the newly developing Goseley estate across the road. It was initially run by landlords Sam and Hilda Brown. In the mid-1960s, Marston's replaced the temporary prefab with a permanent, state-of-the-art building costing £30,000. It famously featured giant dominoes mounted on the gable end of the building. Later in its lifespan, the venue was rebranded as The Snooty Fox. It operated under this identity until it struggled, closed down, and was boarded up in the late 2000s before being completely cleared for the housing footprint standing there today.
