The Coopers Arms was situated at 2 High Road. This pub closed in 2016.

Planning permission to demolish and replace with housing granted in March 2021, however nothing has happened yet. The pub is still being used as a furniture store.

Elaine Stebbings	1973	I worked there from July 1973 - October 1973 with my then husband George. The manager and his wife were Jim and Joan Worthy. I loved working there. Jim and Joan were very nice and it was a busy music house with live bands four nights a week.
