Horse & Jockey

The Horse & Jockey is now used as a Thai restaurant. Originally called the Horse & Jockey, the pub traded from the late 18th century under a variety of names, including the Oddfellows Arms in the 1930s. The premises were largely rebuilt and added to early in the 20th century. The pub closed in 2001.

As students at Birmingham University in the sixties, we, the German department, used to organise a Ramble twice a year. On several occasions, we would get a coach to Malvern, ramble to Colwall and then spend a beery evening in the Horse and Jockey.
