The Horse & Jockey is now used as a
Thai restaurant. Originally called the
Horse & Jockey, the pub traded from the late 18th century under a variety of
names, including the Oddfellows Arms in the 1930s. The premises were largely
rebuilt and added to early in the 20th century. The pub closed in 2001. |

As students at Birmingham University in the sixties, we, the German
department, used to organise a Ramble twice a year. On several occasions, we
would get a coach to Malvern, ramble to Colwall and then spend a beery
evening in the Horse and Jockey. |
