The Red Lion was situated on the High
Street. The pub was also known as The Lion and was present by 1839 when.
John Huckle was the publican. The grade-II listed
building dates from the 17th century and is now a private house. |

House, formerly an inn. C17 timber
frame. C18 Painted brick front with floor band and dentilled eaves. Machine
tile roof; rear cross wing visible on left. 2 storeys. Ground floor with
canted bay window on left and 8/8-pane sash on right. 2 1st floor casements.
Rear wing cased in early C19 red brick. Formerly the Red Lion PH. |
