The Jolly Waggoners was situated on Widford Road. This pub closed in 2010.

For a long time this was a biker's pub. Their machines would be lined up in a row outside. c1972 I rode past on my lambretta scooter with a young lady riding pillion one summer's night. Several bikers decided to give chase and we had to take refuge under a disused railway bridge. Phew! c2004 I returned to the pub this time in a car with another girl friend and we spent a pleasant evening.

The long-closed Jolly Waggoners was subject to a planning application for demolition and the construction of four houses.
